High Value PG

Tim Frazier-New Orleans Pelicans (5,500): Frazier has been boom or bust to start the season with three games over 40 fantasy points and two games under 20 fantasy points. Both those down games, though, came on the second night of back-to-back games and on the road. Tonight, he’s back at home and in a great matchup against the Suns who have been one of the worst teams in the NBA at limiting opposing PG’s fantasy points. Look for Frazier to be back to his productive self tonight making him a great play at under 6K. ∗∗∗∗∗

J.J. Barea-Dallas Mavericks (5,100): With Deron Williams looking unlikely to play against Portland tonight, the bulk of the minutes at the point will likely to go J.J. Barea. Barea has already been playing plenty of minutes as the Mavs have gone small with Dirk Nowitzki sidelined, but he is probably lined up for another 30 minutes tonight. In his four games this year, Barea has at least 25 fantasy points three times and should be able to get you at least that many tonight at home against the Blazers is he’s starting. No DWill-∗∗∗∗ With DWill-∗∗

Isaiah Whitehead-Brooklyn Nets (4,500): Another guard stepping into a bigger role tonight is the Nets’ Isaiah Whitehead. Whitehead is expected to get a ton of time with Jeremy Lin and Greivis Vasquez both out. He shot just 3-11 in Monday’s loss while playing 21 minutes and finishing with a season-high 10.8 fantasy points. Whitehead looks un-refined but his potential playing time is enough to make him a high-risk, high-reward play tonight as the Nets host the Hornets.

Patty Mills-San Antonio Spurs (3,900): Tony Parker is out tonight meaning that Mills will move into the starting lineup for the Spurs’ trip to Utah. Mills had 25.7 fantasy points in the previous game he  started this year and has three games of at least 17 fantasy points in his five games this season. Just because he starts doesn’t automatically mean he’ll go off, but it does give him enough potential to deserve consideration at under 4K.∗∗
