Despite the threat from an improved Vanderbilt team, Auburn lives to see another day and remains in the hunt for the SEC West crown. Up next for the Tigers is a trip to rival Georgia, while Georgia has struggled this season this is a team that could give Auburn some issues and might play a bit inspired in hopes to knock off the Tigers and hand the SEC West to Alabama. A win and it all comes down to a showdown vs. Alabama for the SEC West and so much more.

While the chances of a two-loss team reaching the playoff are slim, the rise of Auburn and Oklahoma  should put people on notice. For the Sooners, it’s pretty simple. If they can remain undefeated in the Big 12 and get some help along the way, they have a slight argument over a one loss team who may not even reach their conference title game. If they can get there, it will be thrust upon Joe Mixon and Baker Mayfield leading the powerful OU offense.

The biggest test for OU comes in two forms, West Virginia and Oklahoma State. For all that OU’s defense has struggled with, beating those two teams will go a very long way in what they do. First, they face Baylor this week but even that might not be that tough of a test as Baylor has fallen off the face of the earth with their loss against TCU this past week.
