High Salary SG

C.J. McCollum-Portland Trail Blazers (7,100): McCollum took over in Porltand’s win on Sunday scoring 37 points to go with four boards, two assists, a steal, and a block. With Lillard dealing with a hand injury that hurt his shooting, McCollum picked up the slack and poured in 47.8 fantasy points. Even though his 37 points were a season-high, he actually had more fantasy points in his 23-point, ten rebound double-double which resulted in 49.5 fantasy points against the Nuggets. McCollum has at least 34 fantasy points in three of his last five games and is a nice option at just over 7K especially if Lillard is at all limited against the Suns. When the two teams met last week, McCollum had a 24-4-4 line on his way to 34.8 fantasy points. ∗∗

Devin Booker-Phoenix Suns (6,700): After a slow start, Booker has come on strong in his last two games scoring 38 and 39 points against the Pelicans and Lakers. On Sunday he added seven assists to get to 50.1 fantasy points while playing an intense 45 minutes in LA. He and the Suns continue their California trip against the Blazers tonight and Booker has super-high upside if he can keep it rolling against Portland. He’s on fire right now, but he doesn’t have the multi-category production to make him a totally “safe” pick tongiht.∗∗∗

Zach LaVine-Minnesota Timberwolves (5,900): Another young SG who is an explosive scorer is the T-Wolves Zach LaVine. After starting the season with four games over 25 fantasy points, LaVine crashed back to earth. with a 9.4-fantasy-point dud against the Thunder on Saturday. With Ricky Rubio still sidelined, the Timberwolves offense hasn’t looked good, but hopefully tonight’s matchup against the up-tempo Nets can help them find a good rhythm. Brooklyn has allowed the sixth-most fantasy points per game in the NBA to opposing SG so far this season.
