5. player. 30. . DB. Michigan. Jabrill Peppers

Jabrill Peppers is by far the most exciting defensive player in college football, as he has been used all over the field for Michigan this season. This past week, he played linebacker, safety, special teams, running back, and quarterback, as the Wolverines continued their undefeated season. The junior will likely be done at Michigan after this season, which could end with him as a finalist for the Heisman Trophy.

Peppers is from East Orange, New Jersey, which is not far from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford where the Jets play their home games. Drafting Peppers would instantly give the Jets their most popular draft pick in recent memory, while allowing him to play in front of his family and friends every week. New York needs some new, young star power, and Peppers would give them that on day one.

The Jets had an extremely tough schedule this season, and it shows in their record thus far. The fact of the matter is, the team is getting older on defense, and some of their defensive stars appear to have given up on the season. Peppers would make the Jets better, not only on defense, but possibly on special team and offense as well.
