High Value PG

D’Angelo Russell-Los Angeles Lakers (6,400): The Kings just got Darren Collison bck from suspension, so they aren’t quite as good a matchup for Russell tonight as they were for Dragic last week. However, Russell still makes a good play at 6K given his reliable production lately. Russell has at least 27 fantasy points in each of his last four games highlighted by a 46.5-fantasy-point performance in Atlanta. Russell has at least five rebounds and five assists in each of his last two games while scoring in double-digits. The only concern with rolling out Russell is that he is losing some playing time to other guards in LA and has played under 30 minutes in four of his last five games. I am still in on Russell tonight, though, since he should be in for a nice game against the Kings in Sacramento.∗∗

Emmanuel Mudiay-Denver Nuggets (6,300): No team in the NBA is giving up more fantasy points pre game to apposing PG than the Warriors so far this season. Mudiay should be able to put together a good state line tonight as long as he doesn’t sit too long because the game turns into a rout. Mudiay has at least 31 fantasy points in four of his last six games including each of his last tow. He had 45 fantasy points against Boston on Sunday on 30 points, eight rebounds, and two assists, and followed that with 35.5 more fantasy points against Memphis on 23 points, seven assists ,and four rebounds. Mudiay does still struggle with turnovers at times, but he is a solid enough play to give a run on tonight’s limited slate as he and the Nuggets hope to keep things close with the Warriors.

Tim Frazier-New Orleans Pelicans (6,000): While filling in for Jrue Holiday, Frazier has produced a roller coaster of results in New Orleans eight-game losing streak to start the season. Frazier had over 43 fantasy points three times in his first four games but has also been held to 20 fantasy points or fewer three times this season. Frazier’s highest point total of the season came in his previous matchup with tonight’s opponent, the Bucks. In that game nine days ago, Frazier had 20 points to go with nine assists and four steals on his way to 46.25 fantasy points. He definitely is still a boom-or-bust option, but he makes sense in my DraftKings daily picks where he has been almost every game he has played this season.

Jammer Nelson-Denver Nuggets (3,800): There aren’t many chap PG I love tonight, but Nelson has a lot of potential if the Nuggets and Warriors decide to go small tonight. Nelson has at least 15 fantasy points in each of his last five games with three games over 20 fantasy points during that stretch. With Gary Harris back at SG, Nelson’s minutes are not as locked in as they were earlier this season, but he still gets enough playing time to be worth a look if you need a sub-4K play at guard. ∗∗
