High Salary SF

Kevin Durant-Golden State Warriors (9,400): Durant is the big name to look at SF especially with Steph Curry’s ankle injury. If KD hast o carry more of the load offensively, he’ll be an even better start than normal as he faces the Nuggets tonight. Durant started these season with three straight games over 55 fantasy points, but he has been unable to reach that number in his five games since. He does have over 35 fantasy points in each of his last three, though, including last night’s 28-10 double-double against the Mavericks which resulted in 50.5 fantasy points. If Curry is out, he’s a must-play. If Curry plays, Durant will still be an option worth considering if you can squeeze his contract in under your cap.

Jimmy Butler-Chicago Bulls (7,100): Butler was a monster in yesterday’s DraftKings daily picks coming up huge with over 66 fantasy points for the first time this season. He poured in 39 points in 39 minutes against Atlanta and added seven assists, six steals, and four rebounds. He has ten total steals over his last two games now, and is becoming a statsheet-stuffing machine. He has at least 36 fantasy points in four of his last five games, so I think he’s actually a better points-per-dollar play than Durant since he costs over 2K less. ∗∗

Danilo Gallinari-Denver Nuggets (6,100): Gallinari has scored at least 15 points in each of the Nuggets first seven games, but he is coming off his most well-rounded night of production when he added a season-high seven rebounds and three steals to his 21 points in Memphis for a total of 41.25 fantasy points. Gallo has a history of turning in good performances against the Warriors, so he makes sense as a mid-range SF tonight although he’ll need to keep up his non-scoring production if he is really going to be worth his over-6K salary.
