The No. 4 Washington Huskies fell on Saturday to the USC Trojans at home. How does the Huskies’ Week 11 loss affect the College Football Playoff picture?

The No. 4 Washington Huskies were the third Top 10 team in the College Football Playoff rankings to fall in Week 11. No. 9 Auburn fell to cross-divisional rival Georgia in Athens and No. 2 Clemson was stunned at home by the Pittsburgh Panthers on a game-winning field goal.

Washington could not handle the improved USC defense and suffered its first loss of the season. Here is what the College Football Playoff picture could look like entering Week 12 of the 2016 college football season.

  1. Alabama Crimson Tide
  2. Michigan Wolverines
  3. Ohio State Buckeyes
  4. Clemson Tigers
  5. Louisville Cardinals
  6. Washington Huskies
  7. Wisconsin Badgers
  8. Texas A&M Aggies
  9. Penn State Nittany Lions
  10. Oklahoma Sooners

Alabama boat raced the Mississippi State Bulldogs to stay undefeated at No. 1. Assuming Michigan beats the Iowa Hawkeyes in Iowa City, the Wolverines would stick improve to No. 2.

Moving up to No. 3 would be Ohio State who obliterated the Maryland Terrapins on Saturday afternoon. Clemson doesn’t fall too far and would be No. 4 entering Week 12 after the Tigers’ loss to Pittsburgh.

Knocking on the door at No. 5 would be Louisville, who came back late to beat the Wake Forest Demon Deacons handily. Washington would fall to No. 6 in next week’s poll after losing at home to USC.

Wisconsin would stay at No. 7 after blowing out the Illinois Fighting Illini. Assuming Texas A&M holds on to beat the Ole Miss Rebels, the Aggies would stick at No. 8.

Improving to No. 9 would be Penn State after surviving a scare with the Indiana Hoosiers. The Big 12 gets a team in the Top 10 with the on-fire Sooners getting to No. 10 this week. Chaos is in full effect in mid-November in Division I college football.
