The other side of the game with Kansas saw Iowa State get their second win of the season. They had stayed competitive in quite a few others, but weren’t able to get a victory. This one over the Jayhawks may be their last one, though.

In the final two weeks of the season, the Cyclones will play Texas Tech and West Virginia. The Red Raiders have been awful since their 3-1 start this season, so that may be a winnable game. WVU has been tough throughout the season, so they should be able to keep ISU at either two or three wins.

It has been stated numerous times, but Texas Tech’s once-promising season has turned into a disaster. They started 3-1, but have lost five of their past six games with the only win being by three points vs TCU. The most recent one saw the Red Raiders go down to Oklahoma State, 45-44 on the road.

The road for TTU through the last two games shouldn’t be difficult, though. They have to face Iowa State next Saturday and will close out against the struggling Baylor Bears. Both are winnable games, but with the way Texas Tech has played for the past six weeks, nothing is guaranteed. It probably means they’ll lose out on a bowl game.
