Not a good week if you’re Auburn, you lose out on a shot at the SEC West and you lose to one of your biggest rivals. Auburn has exceeded expectations this season as many people, myself included figured this team would struggle to win seven games but here they are with seven wins. With any chance a major bowl all but gone, Auburn can still play for the Capitol One Bowl, a game that could be the springboard for the program in 2017-18.

As one of the co-leaders in the Big Ten’s east division, head coach James Franklin should be under consideration for Big Ten Coach of the Year. This past week, the Lions struggled with Indiana for three quarters and some change before eventually pulling away. Penn state now has a shot at winning the Big Ten East if they win out and Ohio State beats Michigan then it will be Penn State, not the Buckeyes headed to Pasadena.

Bet you didn’t see that coming.
