High Salary SF

Gordon Hayward-Utah Jazz (7,600): Hayward missed the first six games of Utah’s season, but since returning he has been outstanding scoring at least 20 points in all five games and posting at least 40 fantasy points in each of his last three contests. He could be asked to do even more heavy-lifting if Derrick Favors is out tonight with his troublesome knee issues. Hayward will be making his home debut tonight against the Grizzlies who are still working Chandler Parsons back into their SF rotation.

Carmelo Anthony-New York Knicks (7,500): Melo got tossed from Friday’s game in Boston, but he rewarded owners who invested in his bounce-back on Sataurdy with a season-high 31 points. He added six boards and four assists for 45.5 fantasy points. He has over 40 fantasy points in three of his last four games not counting his ejection, and continues to be the Knicks’ primary source of offense. Tonight, he  welcomes the Mavericks in to Madison Square Garden. Even though Dallas has been good against opposing SF so far this year, I think Anthony is still a solid top-dollar option at the position based on his nice upside.

Harrison Barnes-Dallas Mavericks (7,100): Barnes has thrived with his new expanded offensive responsibilities in Dallas and put up more than 25 points and 35 fantasy points in each of his last three games. Wince Dallas has had four days off since their last game, he should be ready to carry the load again tonight agains the Knicks. If Dirk does return tonight, Barnes would slide back to his more natural SF spot where he’d have a good matchup against defense-option Carmelo Anthony who has put the Knicks in the top-10 of allowing the most fantasy points per team to opposing SF. Barnes is still a good play at this price although his recent outburst is sure to make him a popular option.
