High Value SF

Trevor Ariza-Houston Rockets (5,600): Last night, Trevor Ariza continued his solid but quiet production putting up 32.75 fantasy points on 11 points, seven rebounds, four steals, and three assists. He has at least 25 fantasy points in each of his last five games and over 30 in each of his last two. The Blazers have been mixing and matching at SF so far this season, so Ariza is a solid play tonight against Portland His minutes could be slightly affected by Patrick Beverley’s return, but he’s still the best SF play under 6K.

Maurice Harkless-Portland Trail Blazers (5,100): The SF option I like the most under 6K is on the other side of that same matchup in Maurice Harkless. Harkless has at least 21 fantasy points in five of his last six games and is playing 30+ minutes every night for Portland. He contributes in a wide variety of categories which makes him a pretty low-risk investment tonight against the Rockets in what should be a small ball, fantasy-point bonanza.∗∗

Michael Beasley-Milwaukee Bucks (3,000): I don’t love any of the cheap options at SF, but if you need a flier at the position, you could role the dice on Michael Beasley. Beasley is usually getting pretty good playing time for Milwaukee although he only played four minutes with two turnovers for -2 fantasy points last night in Atlanta. He had posted 16 fantasy points or more in three of his previous four games before that, though, and was playing 12-20 minutes off the bench. He’ll be back in Miami tonight, and look to haunt the Heat who he has spent two stints with in the NBA. Beasley is definitely a roll of the dice, but he’s as good a flier as any other option at just 3K.
