DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-November 18
High Salary PF
Blake Griffin-Los Angeles Clippers (8,300): With Anthony Davis battling a quad contusion, Blake Griffin becomes the top-dollar PF to stage in tonight’s great matchup against the Kings. Griffin has scored at least 20 points in each of his last five games and has at least 39 fantasy points in seven straight. He’s played limited minutes in some contests due to blowouts which could be the case tonight, but even then he has produced enough early to still be a solid option. I doubt he explodes, but he’s a safe way to invest your money since he has been so consistent all season.∗∗∗
Paul Millsap-Atlanta Hawks (7,800): Millsap continues to be the hard-working, reliable option for the Hawks and DFS owners. He had 21 points against the Bucks on Wednesdana and added in solid non-scoring numbers to get to 41 fantasy points. He has at least 32 fantasy points in three of his last four and over 30 fantasy points in seven of his 11 games this year. When the Hawks play tougher opponents (like Charlotte is tonight), Millsap seems to rise to the occasion. While his block numbers are down this year he continues to have the potential for 40+ fantasy points any given night and be one of the more multi-faceted producers in the mid-range on the salary chart. ∗∗∗∗
Julius Randle-Los Angeles Lakers (6,800): Speaking of potential for over 40 fantasy points, Randle has reached that mark twice in his last three games including an extremely impressive 17-14-10 triple double on Tuesday against the Nets. He had 52.5 fantasy points in that game which gives him over 31 fantasy points in five of his last seven games making him a solid investment at PF tonight agains the Spurs who have struggled a bit on the interior defensively after losing Tim Duncan. ∗∗∗∗
Terrence Jones-New Orleans Pelicans (6,200): Regular readers of my DraftKings daily picks know that Jones is my fantasy kryptonite. The player I really like but seem to grab on the wrong day and he cripples by lineups. Jones has been outstanding for the Pelicans when given playing time, though, and I’m hoping his recent two games have earned him playing time going forward. He has played 30 minutes in each of his last two contests one alongside Anthony Davis and one without “the Brow.” Jones had 15 points and ten rebounds for 36.5 fantasy points on Monday against Boston and followed that with 26 points and nine boards while starting in place of Davis on Wednesday. Whether Davis plays or not, I think Jones should get 30 minutes and be a great DFS option.
However, coach Alvin Gentry hasn’t agreed with me on Jones just yet, so make sure he’s going to play that much before going all in. His matchup against the Blazers is just too good to pass up, though, so I’m back for more of Jones tonight. No Davis-∗∗∗∗ With Davis-∗∗
