High Salary C

Hassan Whiteside-Miami Heat (9,000): Whiteside has been a fantasy beast lately with at least 52 fantasy points in four of his last five games. He started that run with a 20-20 game against the Bulls, and he comes into tonight’s game off a 52.25-fantasy-point game against the Bucks when he had 12 points, 17 rebounds, and seven blocks. He only played 29 minutes in that game on Thursday, and he should be fresh and ready for tonight’s game against the Wizards. He may not be the best points-per-dollar option since he costs 9K, but he is a very reliable way to bet a haul of fantasy points from your center spot.

Marc Gasol-Memphis Grizzlies (6,700): The Grizzlies all looked bad in last night’s ugly offensive game in Dallas. Gasol finished with just 11 points, three boards, and three assists for 19.75 fantasy points  in 24 minutes. He’ll look to be more productive tonight against the Timberwolves who are allowing the third-most fantasy points per game to opposing centers. Gasol had 45.5 fantasy points on Wednesday, so he should be able to bounce back tonight although he isn’t as “sure-thing” as Whiteside.∗∗

Joel Embiid-Philadelphia 76ers (6,400): “The Process” continues tonight for the Sixers as he take on the Suns in what should be a great matchup for him. Embiid had a ten-point, ten-rebound double-double in just 22 minutes against the T-Wolves for 22 fantasy points. He has posted back-to-back double-doubles now and has at least 22 fantasy points in each of his last five games. His minutes-cap is still what holds him back, but for tonight’s matchup he should be a solid buy at this price.

DeAndre Jordan-Los Angeles Clippers (6,400): Jordan had a nice double-double last night with 16 points and 12 boards against the Kings. He now has over 32 fantasy points in three of his last four games and continues to do good work on the glass every night. If he starts to score in double-digits on a nightly basis as well, he’ll be a solid play at under 7K. Tonight, he’ll face the Bulls who are allowing the eighth-most fantasy points per game in the NBA to opposing C.
