High Value PG

Jrue Holiday-New Orleans Pelicans (6,000): Holiday is worth a look although its risky to roll him out in just his second game of the season after missing time due to a personal matter. Holiday returned last night and looked great scoring 21 points to go with seven assists in 23 minutes to total 38 fantasy points. I like Holiday a lot and will use him often moving forward, but he’s high-risk since he’s still on a minutes limit and could be fatigued in his second game in as many nights. ∗∗

Ish Smith-Detroit Pistons (5,400): Smith played just 23 minutes last night against the Cavs finishing with a disappointing 20.25 fantasy points. Tonight, though, he should be back to his full workload of minutes against the Celtics. In his last five games before last night’s letdown, Ish had at least 25 fantasy points four times including a nicely-balanced line against the Suns that resulted in 34.25 fantasy points. His limited minutes were due to the Cavs big lead, so look for a bounbceback game from all the Pistons starters as they return to The Palace tonight where they’re undefeated on the season.∗∗∗

Sergio Rodriguez-Philadelhia 76ers (4,700): The Suns have allowed the sixth-most fantasy points per game to opposing PG so far this season, which could set Sergio up for a solid number tonight. Rodriguez was awful on Thursday going scoreless in 24 minutes against follow-Spaniard Ricky Rubio. Before that, though, Rodriguez had at least 28 fantasy points in two of his previous three games. He had a season-high 12 assists against the Wizards the night before his letdown, and I think he’ll bounce back just fine in a good matchup against Phoenix tonight.

Jerian Grant-Chicago Bulls (4,100): Grant has started the last two games for the Bulls while Rajon Rondo has been sidelined. He had a huge game against the Blazers on Tuesday with 18 points and 35.75 fantasy points, but he came back to earth a bit against the Jazz totaling just 17.25 fantasy points on six points despite playing 29 minutes. If Rondo is out and Grant gets another start, he’ll be an intriguing low-cost option against CP3 and the Clippers, but he definitely isn’t a lock to go huge like he did on Tuesday. If starting-∗∗∗

Terry Rozier-Boston Celtics (3,000): With Marcus Smart hobbled last night against the Warriors and Golden State putting the game out of reach in the third quarter, Terry Rozier played 26 minutes against Golden State and had a really solid stat line. He had 11 points to go with seven rebounds and five assists for 27.75 fantasy points. He has over 22 fantasy points in three of his last five games now, and he could see a bump in playing time if Smart is sidelined. See if Smart is going to miss tonight’s game in Detroit, and check out Rozier as a cheap flier if the situation shapes up in his favor.
