High Value SG

Seth Curry-Dallas Mavericks (5,700): Last night, the Mavericks were short on offensive options and ended up in a total grandest against the Grizzlies in an ugly game. Curry’s shooting was off going just 4-14 as he finished with 11 points, four boards, two assists, and a turnover. Curry’s shot hasn’t been there very often this season, but he’ll get 30+ minutes to try to find his groove tonight against the Magic. With Deron Williams and J.J. Barea both already ruled out, Curry will get all the time he can handle. I like him more than Waiters, but he’s no sure thing to produce just because he gets the playing time as we all saw yesterday as Dallas managed just 64 points in their loss to Memphis. I think they’ll fare much better tonight against the Magic.∗∗∗

Bradley Beal-Washington Wizards (5,500): Beal has struggled to stay on the court for the Wizards this saosn, but when he has played he has looked pretty good. He returned from a three-game absence and put up 29 fantasy points in the Wizards win over New York on Thursday. He had 18-2-5 in his 29 minutes in that game giving him over 27 fantasy points in the last four games in which he played his regular minutes. (He only played 11 minutes before leaving injured against Boston). Beal and the Wiz welcome in the Heat tonight, and I really like him at this price even though Miami’s defense is pretty solid. ∗∗

Dion Waiters-Miami Heat (4,800): In the same game but on the other side, Dion Waiters has continued to be a boom-or-bust play extraordinaire. He has over 37 fantasy points in two of his last three but also had four games under 22 fantasy points in his last seven. He went off for 23 points against the Bucks on Thursday and continues to force his way into playing time even with Josh Richardson and Gordon Dragic back from injury. His playing time could get crammed if Justise Winslow returns tonight, but Waiters remains a boom-or-bust play at this point whether Winslow returns or not.

J.J. Redick-Los Angeles Clippers (4,700): Redick continued his scoring binge last night scoring 26 points in 26 minutes against the Kings for a solid 35 fantasy points. He has at least 18 points in four straight games and over 30 fantasy points in each of his last three. He gets another good matchup tonight in the late game as the Clippers host D-Wade and the Bulls.
