High Salary SF

Jimmy Butler-Chicago Bulls (8,600): Butler has been playing very well for the Bulls and producing across the stat sheet over his last six games. In those six contests, Butler has five games over 43 fantasy points and a pair where he was able to reach 66 fantasy points. He had 20-12-3 in 41 minutes against the Jazz on Thursday for a solid 45.5 fantasy points even in a tough matchup with Gordon Hayward. Butler typically logs a lot of minutes and contributes across the board. Tonight, he’ll need to bring his A-game as the Bulls try and knock off the Clippers in LA. They do catch Blake Griffin and company on the second night of back-to-back games, and as long as the game is competitive Butler should be a safe option to invest in tonight. ∗∗

Andrew Wiggins-Minnesota Timberwolves (7,800): Wiggins costs 800 less than Butler but has been almost as productive over his recent games. He has four games over 40 fantasy points in his last six including two games over 57 fantasy points in his last three. He had a career-high 47 points last Sunday against the Lakers for 56.3 fantasy points and then posted 52 fantasy points on Thursday against the Sixers on 35 points and ten rebounds. While those are both much easier matchups than tonight’s game against Memphis, Wiggins is scoring the ball well and being very aggressive on offense. He doesn’t have the non-scoring numbers that Butler does, but he’s still a very solid play tonight even though he only managed 28.25 fantasy points when the Wolves met the Grizz earlier this season.

Harrison Barnes-Dallas Mavericks (6,900): If you want straight-up scoring upside at SF, Barnes is a bargain at just under 7K. He had posted at least 20 points in five straight games before managing just 15 last night against the Grizzlies in Dallas’s offensive dud. Barnes ended up with a disappointing 21.75 fantasy points, but Orlando has give up the sixth-most fantasy points per game in the NBA to opposing SF, and I think he’ll be able to bounce back tonight. With Dirk and D-Will out, Barnes will have to carry the offensive load, and in a game against the Magic I think he’ll be able to do just that.

Otto Porter-Washington Wizards (6,600): Another SF option coming in with good momentum is Ott Porter Jr. of the Wizards. Porter has at least 35 fantasy points in four of his last six games after 21 points and eight rebounds powered him to 39.5 fantasy points on Thursday. He doesn’t have the scoring upside of Wiggins, Barnes, or Butler, but he is a solid play at this price tonight.
