As most figured, FSU destroyed Syracuse. It’s what happened in the game that grabs some headlines from this past weekend. FSU running back Dalvin Cook became the all-time leading rusher in Florida State history. For the game, Cook scored four touchdowns and amassed 225 yards rushing. Up next for the Seminoles is the showdown with Florida and the winner of that game improves their chances at reaching one of the New Year’s Six games as an at-large team.

Although Notre Dame was 3-7 on the season, in parts of Saturday’s contest you might have not been able to tell. Eventually,t he Hokies reminded the crowd in South Bend that they were the better team coming back from a 17-point deficit to defeat the Fighting Irish. All that stands in the way of the Hokies reaching the ACC Title Game is a showdown with rival Virginia this coming Saturday. The Cavaliers have put a scare into one team this season as they took Louisville to the brink and now they attempt to do the same to the Hokies. With a step away from a date with Clemson looming, I think the Hokies are focused and title game bound.
