High Salary C

Hassan Whiteside-Miami Heat (9,300): For the post-Big 3 Heat, Whiteside has been a huge piece of their offense. He has stepped up this season as a whole averaging 46.8 fantasy points and has been especially good recently with over 49 fantasy points in four straight games. He had 18 points and 18 rebounds on Saturday against Washington while adding three blocks as well. Tonight, he gets a great matchup against Philadelphia who is allowing the second-most fantasy points per game to opposing centers so far this season. Whiteside played a season-high 40 minutes on Saturday, so as long as fatigue isn’t a factor, he should be a great buy at 9K tonight. He is definitely the most reliable of all the elite-priced centers.

Al Horford-Boston Celtics (6,500): Big Al is back for Boston and he looked good with an 18-point, 11-rebound double-double against the Pistons which included the game-winner. Horford had 51.25 fantasy points in 34 minutes after missing nine games with a concussion. Tonight, he’ll look to build on that momentum as he faces the Timberwolves who are allowing the seventh-most fantasy points per game to opposing centers. He’s a little risky so soon back from injury, but his multi-faceted game is always an attractive one since he can produce fantasy points in so many different ways. ∗∗∗

Pau Gasol-San Antonio Spurs (6,400): Gasol had 16 points and five boards for 28.25 fantasy points on Friday in LA. He has at least 28 fantasy points now in five straight games including a 42.25 fantasy point game against the Kings and a 47.25 fantasy point game against the Pistons. Gasol will be in a good matchup tonight against the injury-depleted Mavericks and a very solid mid-range play.

Joel Embiid-Philadlephia 76ers (6,400): Embiid is a tricky fantasy play to figure out since he is still playing every night on a pretty strict minutes cap, but he has been producing really nice numbers when he has been on the floor lately. Embiid had 26 points, seven rebounds, and two blocks for 41.75 fantasy points in just 20 minutes against the Suns on Saturday. Tongiht, he’ll have to deal with Hassan Whiteside’s defense, but he is still a good buy with over 38 fantasy points in four of his last seven games played. His minutes limit makes him risky, but there’s so much upside to love that Embiid will be a popular play tonight.
