13. There have been a lot of positives when it comes to this season’s Chargers, who have already won as many games as they did all of last season. Second-year running back Melvin Gordon has already made up for a forgettable rookie season and leads the team in rushing (838 yards) and total touchdowns (11). Second-year wideout Tyrell Williams currently leads the team in receiving. And rookie defensive end Joey Bosa has brought intensity to the defense. But quarterback Philip Rivers has been a bit erratic via 20 touchdown passes and 14 turnovers. And the fourth quarter issues (outscored a combined 111-64) have been a sore subject all year.
Next Week: San Diego will alternate its final six games in terms of away and home. Next Sunday, they’re off to Houston to clash with the AFC South leading Texans. The team has had its problems away from Qualcomm Stadium for a spell. Dating back to Week 17 of 2014, the Chargers are just 2-12 in their last 14 road games (1-4 in 2016).

Playoff hopes: The Bolts are a talented club which remains in the postseason chase. But this team has dug itself quite a hole and remains alone in the AFC West basement. The team’s 1-3 record within the division doesn’t help their cause. But stranger things have happened and we have seen a resilient Rivers lead this club to some strong stretch runs in the past.
. 4-6. Previous: . San Diego Chargers. 21. team
