Previous: . Dallas Cowboys. 1. team. 123. No one expected Dallas to sit where it is today, but they have proved everyone wrong. Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott will be fighting tooth and nail for the Rookie of the Year, although Elliott may have the edge. The former Buckeye might just receive a handful of MVP votes the way he is playing behind the best offensive line in football. Defense is still a question, but they have seen some excellent play in their once-questionable secondary. If they can add depth in their front seven, teams across the NFC should be very worried about playing the Cowboys down the road.
Next Week: The Redskins arrive in Dallas looking to slay the dragon. The Cowboys have not lost since week one, and will be a major test for a Washington team with questions. Elliott was held to the lowest yards per rush attempt since his rookie debut, giving Washington a blueprint for how to play the star.

Playoff hopes: If the playmakers can remain healthy, Dallas is looking at having a bye week going into the playoffs. Their lead in the NFC East is growing, and no one seems to be stepping up behind them. This is the Cowboys division to lose.
. 9-1
