The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade celebrates its 90th anniversary in 2016 and the celebration is going to be a big one. Here’s information about when it starts and how you can watch.

The 90th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade kicks off the holiday season on Thanksgiving Day morning. While millions of families across the nation tune in, over three million people will line the streets of New York along the parade route to watch as giant balloons, marching bands, celebrities, Broadway performers, and the jolly man in red himself make their way along the route.

The parade kicks off at 9 a.m. ET and will take about three hours from start to finish. NBC is the official broadcast partner and Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie and Al Roker from the Today show will be on hand to host the event. This year Verizon has partnered with Macy’s to live stream the parade on the Verizon 360 channel on You Tube. The Verizon live stream will be hosted by Marlon Wayans and Olivia Culpo.

Aside from 90 years of holiday tradition, there are also lots of performances to look forward to in addition to the 16 giant balloons and 27 smaller balloons and vehicles. Watch for Tony Bennett, Sarah McLachlan, and gold medalists from the 2016 Olympics and Paralympics teams, including newly crowned Dancing with the Stars champion Laurie Hernandez. There will also be performances from Broadway’s Cats and a sneak peek of NBC’s live production of Hairspray.

This year, in addition to new balloons from the animated movie Trolls, Diary of a Wimpy Kid and a new Charlie Brown Peanuts balloon, there is a special Felix the Cat balloon courtesy of DreamWorks Animation Studios. Felix the Cat was the first balloon to grace the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade back in 1927.
