Buffalo Bills. 13. team. 16. We saw the best and the worst from the unpredictable Bills on Sunday at Orchard Park. The team’s inconsistent defense allowed 21 points and gave up 183 yards on the ground to the Jacksonville Jaguars. On the other hand, Buffalo’s own potent ground game rolled up 153 yards (103 and 2 touchdown by LeSean McCoy) in the narrow victory. Quarterback Tyrod Taylor threw for only 166 yards and was sacked five times. But the young performer also threw for once score, ran for another and helped his team play turnover-free football. While he caught only three passes, the return of wide receiver Sammy Watkins was a big plus for these Bills.

Next Week: The Bills head west to the Bay Area to take on the first-place Oakland Raiders, who are co-owners of the best record in the AFC at 9-2. It marks the team’s third trip to the Pacific Time Zone this season. The team managed a victory at the Los Angeles Coliseum against the Rams. But Rex Ryan’s warriors also fell on a Monday night at Seattle.

Playoff hopes: It was a struggle but the Bills are back above .500. However, that record within the conference (3-4) is still a big troubling. Combine that with the fact that the Miami Dolphins don’t look like they’re going away. Ryan’s club is going to need plenty of help to reach the playoffs.
. 6-5. Previous:
