Anthony Michael Hall: Breakfast Club star facing 7 years in prison

Actor Anthony Michael Hall’s next role may be as a prison inmate.

Actor Anthony Michael Hall has been arrested and is currently facing up to seven years in prison. Hall, who became famous in the 1980’s for starring in films such as The Breakfast Club, Weird Science, and Sixteen Candles, allegedly violently assaulted his neighbor. According to TMZ, the altercation between Hall and his neighbor happened back in September, but the actor was only charged with assault over the weekend.

Anthony Michael Hall reportedly broke his neighbor’s wrist and injured his back during a confrontation that happened outside of their Playa del Rey condo. The altercation was caught on video, and shows the actor shoving his neighbor to the ground before walking away. The L.A. county district attorney charged Hall with felony battery with serious bodily injury. The maximum sentence is usually four years, but because of the addition of the bodily harm charge it now can carry a sentence of up to seven years behind bars.

People Magazine reports that this isn’t the first time that Anthony Michael Hall has gotten into trouble with the law. Back in 2009 the actor was ordered to stay away from his former girlfriend after he was accused of stalking her. Also, in 2011 The Breakfast Club star was arrested at his condo for disturbing the peace after fighting with another neighbor.

At the time, the neighbor claimed that Hall was ripping up the plants in the common area of the apartment complex. When the neighbor confronted the actor he reportedly responded with an obscenity and challenged the man to a fight. The neighbor refused and call the authorities, landing Hall with a misdemeanor charge. It seems safe to say that if Hall is ordered to jail his neighbors won’t miss him much.
