35. . LB. Alabama. Reuben Foster. 7. player

The Tennessee Titans are one of the more exciting young teams in football, as second-year quarterback Marcus Mariota has taken a huge step forward this season. They have a couple of nice weapons on the offensive side of the ball, and with a few new faces on the defense, they could seriously be an AFC contender very soon. In fact, the Titans could wind up catching the Houston Texans for the AFC South division title this season, though that would not affect this pick.

Tennessee will pick early thanks to the Los Angeles Rams, who traded them the pick in exchange for the No. 1 overall selection in last April’s draft. That pick was used on quarterback Jared Goff, who actually looked good in his second NFL start this past week. With their first of two picks in round one, the Titans should look to shore up their defense, and Alabama’s Reuben Foster may be in play here.

Foster is the best inside linebacker in this draft, and should be gone within the first ten picks next April. He is the unquestioned leader of an Alabama defense that has become a dynasty in college football. He has an incredible feel for the game, and does very well against the run, and coverage against the pass. The Titans need to fix their defense heading into next season, and Foster would be a starter from day one.
