High Value SG

Josh Richardson-Miami Heat (5,100): With Tyler Johnson, Dion Waiters, and Justise Winslow all out, Richardson has been getting plenty of playing time and opportunity in the Miami offense. Johnson could return tonight (questionable), but even if he does I like Richardson’s upside as the Heat hit Denver. Richardson has at least 12 points in each of his last three games and in six of his last eight. He has at least 22 fantasy points in each of those six games, and I like his high ceiling against a banged up Nuggets backcourt that is allowing the most fantasy points per game in the NBA to opposing SG.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope-Detroit Pistons (5,000): KCP is a boom-or-bust play tonight as the Pistons come to Boston. He has scored in double digits in each of his last five games and exploded for 42.75 fantasy points last night in Charlotte on 18-7-7. He has over 33 fantasy points in four of his last five games but his other game was just 14 fantasy points against the Thunder and he only managed 20.25 fantasy points against Boston when he faced them back on the 19th.

Wesley Matthews-Dallas Mavericks (4,400): Matthews is a notoriously streaky shooter, and his shot is coming around lately helping him to score at least 18 points in three of his last four  games and post 31.75 fantasy points on Sunday against the Pelicans. With Dirk Nowitzki back on the sidelines, the Mavs need scorers on offense and Matthews gives them some nice backcourt potential even in a tough matchup with San Antonio.

Justin Holiday-New York Knicks (3,200): If you have to near the minimum at SG, Holiday is the play I like the most since he has scored at least double-digit fantasy points in each of his last eight games including five games over 1516fantasy points during that timespan. Holiday is a solid defensive option who contributes good non-scoring numbers along with a few buckets as part of the Knicks’ second unit.
