While they are not going to be playing for a Pac-12 championship this season, there has been no hotter team in the conference than USC over the past eight weeks. The Trojans have won eight straight games in that span, as their redshirt freshman quarterback has helped turn the program back into a national power. The future looks bright for the Trojans, who will finish a season in which they were 1-3 ranked in the top-10 in the country.

The main man for the Trojans this past weekend was cornerback Adoree’ Jackson, who could have possibly been playing in his final home game. Jackson collected three touchdowns in the game, running back both a punt and a kick, as well as scoring on a touchdown pass. If he does decide to enter the NFL Draft, he could be one of the first cornerbacks taken in the first round, due to his ability to impact a game on both sides of the ball.

It took a Colorado win in their regular season finale to eliminate USC from a chance at the Pac-12 title, which was probably a relief for Washington. The Trojans win against Notre Dame this past week gave them their 11th Jeweled Shillelagh in the last 15 years. No team in college football wants to play the Trojans right now, and they should be a favorite to possibly make the College Football Playoff next season.
