4. Sefo will be the difference

The Colorado Buffaloes have a bunch of characters on their team, but nobody is quite like their quarterback. Sefo Liufau is one of the more interesting characters in all of college football, and he has gone from the fans calling for his benching to a hero in the span of one season. Since he has returned from injury, he has been one of the more consistent quarterbacks in the country, and he heads into the Pac-12 title game loaded with confidence.

Liufau does it all for the Buffaloes, as he is just as big a threat with his legs as he is with his arm. The Washington Huskies have yet to face a quarterback like him this season, though they have done a nice job against quarterbacks who either run or pass. Since taking back over as the starter after his injury, Liufau has rushed for a touchdown in four of seven games, including a three-touchdown effort against Washington State a few weeks ago.

The Buffaloes ended their season with a very tough two-game stretch, as they had to take on Washington State and Utah at home. Both teams were ranked at the time, and in fact, Washington State was one of the hottest teams in the country at the time. Against Utah’s tough defense last week, Liufau threw for 270 yards and a touchdown while rushing the ball 21 times with a score as well.

Colorado is going to have to keep Liufau upright if they want to have any chance on Friday night, as Washington has a very tough front on defense. If the offensive line does their job, it should open up lanes for Liufau to run if no one is open downfield. He is one of the better dual-threat quarterbacks in the country, and if he is on, the Buffaloes offense will definitely be able to move the ball consistently against the Huskies.
