High Salary C

DeMarcus Cousins-Sacramento Kings (10,900): Boogie and the Kings burned their owners on Wednesday through no fault of their own as the floor in Philadelphia made their matchup with the 76ers unplayable. They’ll return to the court tonight against Boston where Cousins will take on Al Horford. While Horford is a tough matchup defensively, there is no arguing with Cousins’ current form. He has at least 32 points in five of his last six games and at least 50 fantasy points in seven of his last eight. He had a monster 36-20-4 against the Wizards in his last game on Monday, and he’ll look to pick up where he left off tonight while keeping his new-found mopping skills on the shelf.

Karl-Anthony Towns-Minnesota Timberwolves (9,400): The Wolves lost to the Knicks on Wednesday, but Towns had a monster game going for a Anthony-Davis-like 75.6 fantasy points on 47-18-2 with three blocks and a steal as well. He had been held under 45 fantasy points four four straight games and 12 of his previous 13 before that explosion, but he does get that some matchup tonight in NYC. Towns has been solid lately although he’s a big-time investment at this price tonight.

Al Horford-Boston Celtics (7,300): After missing Monday’s game to be with his family for the birth of his child, Horford only gook five shots on Wednesday and finished with a very quiet 9-5-4 for 24 fantasy points in the Celtics loss to Detroit. He’ll need to be much more involved moving forward including tonight as he takes on DeMarcus Cousins and the Kings. I’m still a big for of Horford, but he’s risky at this price after Wednesday’s disappearing act.

Nikola Vucevic-Orlando Magic (7,100): Vucevic and the Magic are in Philadelphia tonight where Vucevic started his NBA career. No t only is it a revenge game for Vooch, he has been thriving lately with five straight double-doubles and over 35 fantasy points in four of his previous five. He has a history of lighting up his former team and did so earlier this season with 24-14-4 for a massive 49.8 fantasy points. He’s a great play tonight even though his price has climbed to this level.∗∗

Joel Embiid-Philadelhpia 76ers (6,200): The option everyone will own tonight at center, though, is on the other side of that matchup where Joel Embiid is expected to play tonight before sitting tomorrow. Before Wednesday’s cancelation, coach Brett Brown announced Embiid’s minutes were going to be bumped from about 25 minutes per game to 28 minutes per game. Embiid was posted 30+ fantasy points on a regular basis, so a bump in playing time makes him an even better play at this price tonight in a good matchup against the Magic.
