High Value PG

Rajon Rondo-Chicago Bulls (5,900): Rondo is still under-priced on FanDuel and makes a nice option tonight agasint the Cavs who are allowing the third-most fantasy points per game to opposing PG so far this season. Rondo missed a couple of games in the middle of last month, but has posted over 30 fantasy points in each of his five games since returning highlighted by a 13-11-8 game against the Nuggets for 39.2 fantasy points  and a 14-8-6 against the Lakers on Wednesday for 35.6 fantasy points. Rondo has been a solid contributor and always seems to step up in nationally televised games like tonight’s against the defending champs.

Dennis Schroder-Atlanta Hawks (5,900): The Hawks PG is coming off his best game of the season after pouring in a career-high 31 points on Wednesday against the Suns and adding nine assist to total 46.3 fantasy points. He has over 35 fantasy points in each of his last two games, but he’ll be in a tougher matchup tonight as Atlanta comes home to host the Pistons.  He hasn’t been the most consistent PG play this season, but he has produced at least 25 fantasy points in five of his last six games. He still may be prone to a burn or two in his first year as a starter in Atlanta, but he seems to be settling in pretty nicely.

Ish Smith-Detroit Pistons (5,500): On the other side of that matchup, Ish Smith is also coming off a very nice game after posting 19-8-8 against Boston for 42.6 fantasy points on Wednesday. The Hawks are allowing the fourth-most fantasy points per game to opposing PG which makes Smith an interesting option as he continues to start and play 30+ minutes a night while keeping the spot warm for Reggie Jackson. Smith can be a little bit boom-or-bust depending on game flow, but he should be in a good enough matchup tonight to be work a look at under 6K.

Sergio Rodriguez-Philadelphia 76ers (4,400): Rodriguez has posted 26.9 and 25.1 fantasy points in his last two games while starting in place of Jerryd Bayless. Bayless is questionable again for tonight, and if he is out Rodriguez is a nice bargain play. He was in many lineups before the Sixers’ game was canceled on Wednesday since he was expected to start, and he makes a lot of sense tonight against the Magic provided Philadelphia can keep the floor dry enough for the game to happen as scheduled. No Bayless-∗∗ With Bayless-

Jamal Murray-Denver Nuggets (4,100): The sharp-shooting rookie should be at home in a matchup against the Rockets and their three-balling ways. Murray has had a couple of down games (15.8 fantasy points and 17.6 fantasy points) after his run of four straight games with over 28 fantasy points. He’s a boom-or-bust play tonight, but I love his upside against the Rockets who are allowing the second-most fantasy points per game to opposing SG which is the position where Murray plays most of his minutes.

Brandon Jennings-New York Knicks (4,100): A veteran option that I like even more than Murray tonight is Brandon Jennings who could see extended playing time and possibly even start tonight since Courtney Lee is most likely out. Jennings had 12-2-7 and 24.9 fantasy points against the Wolves on Wednesday and now has over 24 fantasy points in four of his last seven games. His best fantasy game of the season came two weeks ago when he went off for 17-5-10 for 38 fantasy points against the Wizards. ∗∗

Cory Joseph-Toronto Raptors (4,000): Another more consistent cheap option with a slightly lower ceiling to take a look at tonight is Raptors’ backup guard Cory Joseph. Joseph has at least 15 fantasy points in five straight and had his best fantasy game of the season on Wednesday against Memphis finishing with 29.1 fantasy points on 16-8-3 in 28 minutes. He has over 24 fantasy points in three of his last five and should get enough run against the Lakers to be a solid 4K play even though he doesn’t have the sky-high ceiling that Murray offers.

Austin Rivers-Los Angeles Clippers (3,600): The Clippers are playing their third game in the last four nights as they roll into the Big Easy tonight, so it wouldn’t be surprising if Doc Rivers rests Chris Paul after the starter logged 45 minutes on Tuesday in Brooklyn. The only reason Paul may be good to go tonight is that he only had to play 25 minutes against the Cavs in last night’s blowout win. When Paul plays less, Austin Rivers plays more. Last night he handed out a season-high seven assists to go with 12 points in 23 minutes for 26.3 fantasy points. He has over 19 fantasy points in three of his last five games, and he is a good cheap play even if he comes off the bench tonight. If he starts in place of CP3, he’ll be a must play. Coming off the bench-
