The rumors were true. Leading up to the PlayStation Experience, many believed a new Marvel vs. Capcom was going to be announced. Well, it happened.

Fighting game fans, get ready. If you’re a fan of the Marvel vs. Capcom series, well you’re in for good news, as Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite was officially revealed. For the last few weeks, rumors starting circulating about a new entry in the series. In all honesty, it was all but confirmed. We were just waiting for Sony to make it official.

This series brings the best of both worlds together. Marvel has some of the most iconic characters in the world. There’s Iron Man, Spider-Man, Captain America, and so on.

In Capcom, we have characters like Mega Man and Ryu, which are also iconic characters. Bringing these two worlds to life in a video game have definitely paid off. So far, from the teaser trailer for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, everything looks awesome. Check it out:

The new teaser doesn’t show off any gameplay, but it does show some amazing animation. The characters we see in the new teaser are Ryu, Mega Man, Iron Man, and Captain Marvel.

At the end of the trailer, we also see a mysterious character. We aren’t exactly sure who it is, but it’s great to see that maybe new characters will be joining the roster.

Marvel vs. Capcom 3 wasn’t the most well-received game in the series. But, we’re hoping that Infinite learns more from Marvel vs. Capcom 2, which is one of the best fighting games of all-time.

The best part about the reveal is knowing that we’ll be seeing some gameplay soon. After the trailer, they announced that a first glimpse at gameplay will be shown tonight at the Capcom Cup 2016.
