Fiesta Bowl: No. 6 Michigan Wolverines vs. No. 7 Oklahoma Sooners

The 2016 Playstation Fiesta Bowl looks different than the one the Selection Committee put together. It won’t be No. 2 Clemson vs. No. 3 Ohio State. Instead, we are looking at No. 6 Michigan vs. No. 7 Oklahoma.

Michigan gets to the Fiesta Bowl by winning a rematch of The Game versus Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl. Oklahoma reaches the Fiesta by besting Clemson in a rematch of the 2015 Orange Bowl.

Michigan versus Oklahoma in a national semifinals could go either way. Oklahoma has the offense to best Michigan, while the Wolverines have the defense to lean on to hopefully stifle the Sooners’ Air Raid attack.

Mayfield could go off in this game. He’ll outplay Michigan quarterback Wilton Speight. However, the Michigan defense will pick Mayfield off twice in crucial moments to win a tight one in Glendale. Michigan advances to the National Championship to face Alabama at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.

Pick: Michigan 30, Oklahoma 24
