College Football Playoff National Championship: No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide vs. No. 6 Michigan Wolverines

The ratings will be through the roof in this hypothetical 2017 College Football Playoff National Championship Game. No. 1 Alabama would meet No. 7 Michigan at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.

Alabama will be favored over Michigan, but the Wolverines would be the toughest matchup this season for the Crimson Tide. Michigan would cover the point spread in this game, as it will only be decided by one score.

We’re looking at what could have been one of the greatest games in college football history. There will be so much drama surrounding this National Championship. Big Ten vs. SEC and Harbaugh vs. Saban. This game will shatter every television ratings record in this history of college football.

Down 28-27 with two minutes and change remaining, Alabama true freshman quarterback Jalen Hurts will orchestrate a game-winning 75-yard touchdown drive to win the 2016 National Championship. This drive would go down in Alabama lore as Hurts to Howard. Hurts will hit tight end O.J. Howard on a third and long to beat Michigan 34-28 with 10 seconds left.

Alabama wins back-to-back National Championships. Saban rides off into the sunset, retiring from coaching to join ESPN in the booth. Harbaugh will grow from this loss. Michigan will meet Washington in the 2017 National Championship after Saban’s retirement.
