High Salary C

Marc Gasol-Memphis Grizzlies (7,300): With the Grizzlies so short-handed, Gasol has had to assume more and more of the workload. He has at least 18 points in five straight games and has over 31 fantasy points in each of those five games with three games over 40 fantasy points during that stretch. Gasol had 19-3-8 with three steals against the Lakers on Saturday for 42.6 fantasy points, and he should have a good chance to get back to around 40 fantasy points again tonight against the Pelicans who could be a little worn out from last night’s game in OKC.

Joel Embiid-Philadelphia 76ers (6,400): The Sixers blossoming big man took advantage of his raised minutes limit to play 27 minutes against the Magic on Friday finishing with 43 fantasy points on 25-10-4. He has at least 30 fantasy points in each of his last five games and over 40 in each of his last two. Tonight, he is expected to return from his game off as the Sixers host the Nuggets. He’ll be widely owned, but he’s a bargain this price even with a minutes restriction still in place.

Pau Gasol-San Antonio Spurs (6,100): The other Gasol brother is in Milwaukee tonight where he has made a habit of beating up on the Bucks in his career. He has been a bit of a tricky fantasy proposition this year with big games when he gets extended playing time and busts in other matchups when he gets “popped.” He had a big game last Friday with 19-10-2 and 39 fantasy points against the Wizards, and I think he has a lot of potential tonight against Milwaukee who is allowing the ninth-most fantasy points per game to opposing centers.
