High Salary PG

Russell Westrook-Oklahoma City Thunder (12,800): Westbrook costs almost 13K which is absolutely crazy, but he has been so good lately that he could ultimately be worth it. Westbrook has seven straight triple-doubles and at least 74 fantasy points in three of his last four games including 74.25 fantasy points on 32-13-12 (points-rebounds-assists) against the Hawks on Monday in his last game. He should be well-rested and ready to go off against the Rockets tonight. The only cautionary notes aside from Westbrook’s insane price tag is that he had “just” 30-7-9 for 54.24 fantasy points against the Rockets in their first meeting this season and that Patrick Beverley has been locking down opposing PG lately. I like Westbrook a lot tonight, but he isn’t my top star to target because of his price and risk.

Giannis Antetokounmpo-Milwaukee Bucks (10,000): I prefer “The Alphabet” to boht Wesbrook and Harden  tonight since he’s cheaper and in a far better matchup. Antetokounmpo and the Bucks are hosting the Hawks who have been shredded by opposing PG over the last few weeks. Hey have allowed an average of over 60 fantasy points per game to opposing PG over their last five games and have now given up the second-most fantasy points per game to opposing PG so far this season.

Antetokoumpo comes into this great matchup on a hot streak with at least 45 fantasy points in five straight and over 61 fantasy points in three of those contests. He had a nice 15-12-11 triple double on Wednesday while adding four blocks and two steals for 54.9 fantasy points. I think he has a great shot to get 50+ again tonight so I like him even though he costs five figures.

Goran Dragic-Miami Heat (7,500): The Heat are playing extremely short-handed, and as a result Dragic is carrying a lot of the offensive workload. He has been excellent since returning from his own injury which forced him to miss two games at the end of November. He has at least 30 fantasy points in his six games since then including three straight with over 41 fantasy points before a slight letdown of just 32.5 on Wednesday. Tonight, eh gets another good matchup as he takes on Kyrie Irving and the Cavs. Cleveland is allowing the third-most fantasy points per game to opposing PG, and Dragic should be in a good place to produce a solid number on the road tonight even though it is his third game in the last four days.

Kemba Walker-Charlotte Hornets (7,200): If you’re a DFS owner that likes to get off to a fast start, check out Walker in the early game against the Magic. Orlando is allowing the sixth-most fantasy points per game to opposing PG this season, and they’ve been worst than usual lately including letting John Wall totally annihilate them earlier this week. Walker comes in on a nice run of at least 31 fantasy points in five straight and eight of his last nine. He has also scored at least 17 points in every single game he has played this season. He had 25-3-4 with two steals for 38.75 fantasy points against the Pistons on Wednesday, and in this good matchup he has the upside to produce 40+ tonight.

Dennis Schroder-Atlanta Hawks (6,00): Schroder has found a nice rhythm after an uneven start tot he season. He has at least 15 points in six straight and has over 35 fantasy points in five of those six contests. He’ll have to deal with a tough matchup against the Bucks (third-fewest fantasy points allowed to opposing PG), but he’s still the best PG play under 7K. ∗∗∗
