High Value PF

Gorgui Dieng-Minnesota Timberwolves (5,400): Dieng had 24.25 fantasy points last night in Toronto on 20-7-3 and a steal in 33 minutes. He has at least 20 fantasy points in 12 of his last 13 games with over 27 fantasy points in seven of those contests. Tonight, he and the Wolves host Detroit who have been giving up more fantasy points to opposing PF recently than the did early in the season. He’s a solid play even though he doesn’t have an uber-high ceiling.

Dwight Powell-Dallas Mavericks (4,700): Powell will keep getting big minutes for the foreseeable future for the Mavs with Dirk Nowitzki and Andrew Bogut both sidelined. Powell has at least 25 fantasy points in three straight with 17-8-1 against he Bulls, 15-7-0 against the Hornets, and 6-5-5 against the Kings. He’s my favorite value PF play tonight as he faces the Pacers.

Jon Leuer-Detroit Pistons (4,300): On the other side of that matchup, Jon Leuer continues to get enough minutes off the bench to be a good play  although he has been held just under 22 fantasy points in each of his last three games. He has at least 18 fantasy points in six straight, though, and is low-risk, low-upside from his just-over-4K price point.

Josh McRoberts-Miami Heat (3,900): McRoberts will get a ton of time tonight against the Cavs with the Heat so depleted by injury. However, he came up pretty empty with just 10 fantasy points in 30 minutes against Atlanta, so he’s not quite as good of an option for the Heat as Powell is for the Mavericks. McRoberts had 25.5 and 25.25 fantasy points in his two previous games, though, so there is some level of upside to pay attention to.
