3. Cure Bowl

Let’s start off by getting the obvious out of the way and that is the idea of the Cure Bowl is a fantastic one. To help promote awareness and raise money for cancer research is always something that should be put on the center stage.

However, there should be a better way of doing it than attaching it to a small bowl game. Especially another one of those Florida bowl games. The Cure Bowl was inaugurated last season in Orlando and features the Sun Belt vs. American conferences.

What would make more sense is instead of wasting the importance of the Cure Bowl on a small bowl game between two teams that don’t get enough recognition, they could try to sponsor and/or join up with a larger bowl game that can help spread the message of fighting the deadly disease.

It’s hard to see any bowl denying that type of message and it just seems too logical. The game between the American Conference and the Sun Belt Conference is fine considering those teams earn their bowl games too, but placing them in a more competitive atmosphere could benefit everyone.Less bowl games brings out the competition in everyone and it creates for better bowls overall. So the best thing here is to scrap this game and put the message behind this game on a larger stage that it deserves.
