1-12. Previous: . San Francisco 49ers. 31. team. 42. San Francisco played another unwatchable game this week, where running backs were the stars in an overtime loss. Bilal Powell and Carlos Hyde combined for 338 rushing yards, while Shaun Draughn scored one of two 49ers touchdowns. The second came from Hyde in the air, but it was not enough to hold off the Jets out by the Bay. A gassed 49ers defense allowed Powell to take his second touchdown of the game to the house, despite leading 17-3 at halftime. Chip Kelly’s mindset is clearly set for the college game where he has more players active to rotate in and out, and that deficiency has shown once again in his fourth NFL season.
Next Week: San Francisco carries their 12-game losing streak to Atlanta, where their defense will be no test for Matt Ryan. Even if Julio Jones and Mohamed Sanu are out once again, the Falcons showed this week they can score without them. Taylor Gabriel and Tevin Coleman provided enough offense for the Falcons to stay hot down the stretch.

Draft Talk: San Francisco needs a quarterback, but it ended up with the worst year to have that need. Mel Kiper recently said Deshaun Watson would normally receive a third-round grade, but you can expect the 49ers to reach for him with their projected top-three pick. Watson might be Kelly’s last chance in the NFL, and could possibly run the system Kelly has dreamt of for the past four years. If not Watson, the 49ers could look to build their defense around someone such as Jonathan Allen.
