Heart of Dallas Bowl: Army vs. North Texas – Dec. 27, Noon ET

Earlier in the 2016 season, the North Texas Mean Green faced the Army Black Knights in a muddy affair. The Mean Green were able to find success behind running back Jeffrey Wilson to the tune of three touchdowns and earn their first win over Army. However, as the Black Knights come off of snapping their 14-game losing streak to Navy, I don’t see the same result playing out in the rematch in the Heart of Dallas Bowl.

Army’s defense was obviously gashed in the loss to North Texas. But they showed against Navy’s rush-heavy attack that their linebackers are more than capable of delivering a standout effort. That’s what I would expect to see form them against Wilson and the Mean Green in this game. In the end, Army avenges their earlier loss and gets a big win to cap off the season.

Prediction: Army: 24, North Texas: 14

Military Bowl: Temple vs. Wake Forest – Dec. 27, 3:30 p.m. ET

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons played above many people’s expectations to just make it to 6-6 on the season. That’s a nice mark and their defense has largely been the driving force for them being competitive this season. With that said, they have very little offensive firepower. And when matching up against a Temple Owls team with plenty of that in their offense, this could be a long day in the Military Bowl for the Demon Deacons.

Phillip Walker has become a legend in Temple football lore for his prolific career at quarterback with the team, throwing for over 10,000 yards over the course of his career. Though his 2016 hasn’t been off the charts good, he still led them to 10-3. Backed by a solid defense, this could get ugly for Wake Forest.

Prediction: Temple: 38, Wake Forest: 13
