Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins continues to put up solid numbers in his second season as the team’s signal-caller. Cousins led the Redskins to an NFC East title in his first season as a starter, and has them on the brink of another playoff appearance in 2016. The Redskins are very explosive on offense, and running back Robert Kelley looks like answer at that position.

One area they need help is on the defensive line, where they continue to get pushed back. Their offensive line also could use some bolstering, but defensive tackle will be their biggest priority next April. Malik McDowell has been a beast for Michigan State during his time at the school, and while he has not declared for the draft as of yet, he is likely to leave the Spartans program after an injury-filled season.

The fact is that McDowell can play all over the line, and would be an incredible asset for the Redskins defense. The Redskins secondary has played good football this season, but the biggest issue has been getting to the quarterback. Not only can McDowell play up front, but he can also be used on the edges, where he has the speed to get around tackles and make plays in the backfield.
