player. 28. . CB. Ohio State. Marshon Lattimore. 24

The Oakland Raiders took a tough loss on Thursday night, as they lost the divisional lead to the Kansas City Chiefs. Oakland has been one of the better teams in the league all season long, and will likely see their postseason drought end in 2016. Quarterback Derek Carr has established himself as one of the best in the business, and the Raiders offense is one of the more potent units in all of football.

However, as is usually the case, the secondary has been awful at times, and they need to draft a cornerback next April. The Raiders picked up Sean Smith from the Chiefs in the offseason, figuring he and David Amerson would form a nice duo at the cornerback position. Well, that has not been the case, and the Raiders often find themselves allowing big plays in the passing game at crucial times.

Ohio State has two very good cornerbacks on their roster, though Marshon Lattimore appears to be the more NFL-ready of the pair. While Gareon Conley may certainly go within the first two rounds of next April’s draft, the Raiders should grab Lattimore if he is still available at pick No. 24. Lattimore has the perfect size to play the position at the next level, and is not afraid to get in there and blast receivers once they catch the ball. Sounds like a perfect Oakland Raider to me.
