The Houston Texans are playing good football despite the fact that their $72-million-dollar quarterback has looked awful for most of the season. A big reason for their success has been the play of their defense, which has played very well despite not having J.J. Watt for the entire year. Houston currently is in the driver’s seat in the AFC South, and are coming off an impressive victory against the Indianapolis Colts last week.

Houston was able to get after Andrew Luck thanks to Jadeveon Clowney, who is starting to look like a first overall selection. In the secondary, the cornerbacks did a nice job containing Luck’s big-play ability for the most part, but that is definitely an area that needs to be upgraded in April. Houston could have the best defense in the AFC South if Watt comes back healthy and they draft a defensive back, which is what I believe they will do with their first round pick.

Sidney Jones is one of the best cornerbacks in all of college football, and has helped lead the Washington Huskies to the College Football Playoff. He is a dynamic defensive back with the ability to go up and get big interceptions. Lots of teams shied away from him in 2016, but he was still able to one of the more dominant corners in the Pac-12. He is going to be a solid pro, and the Texans need all the help they can get in the defensive secondary.
