It’s hard to believe a program rich with recent success like Oregon has never won a national title, especially with the amount of talent that has come through.

However, since Chip Kelly left for the NFL, things haven’t been quite the same. Mark Helfrich was just let go after a disappointing bowl-less season in Eugene and some fans are even clamoring for the return of Kelly. It would be a long-shot, but it doesn’t look like the former Ducks head coach is going to last in San Francisco.

Kelly was only at the school for four years yet he put together some of its best recruiting classes ever and won at least 10 games in each of those seasons. He had Fiesta and Rose Bowl wins and lost in the BCS National Championship in 2010. Helfrich won 11 and 13 games in his first two years, but 13 total in his final two.

Still, the Ducks have had plenty of success and that’s led to 12 conference titles, six since 2000, a 13-17 bowl record and a playoff appearance. If the Ducks had some national championships to their name, they’d be much higher on this list.

Quack quack! Gear up with this Ducks t-shirt.

They’ve surprisingly had just eight consensus All-Americans and Marcus Mariota was the lone Heisman winner in school history. Notable alumni include Joey Harrington, Haloti Ngata, Jairus Byrd, De’Anthony Thomas, Kenjon Barner, Ahmad Rashad, LeGarrette Blount, Patrick Chung, T.J. Ward and Norm Van Brocklin.
