When you think of Texas A&M, the first thing that probably pops into your head is Johnny Football. The great Johnny Manziel became the first freshman to ever win the Heisman Trophy, but his NFL career has gone off the tracks a bit as he’s had personal issues and his play on the field was lackluster.

The former Texas A&M star was the reason the Aggies were one of the most watched teams from 2012-13 and he was an instant star for his on and off the field personalities.

Manziel was the second Heisman winner in school history after John David Crow back in 1957.

The Aggies have finished in the AP Top 25 three times since 2010 and Kevin Sumlin has been a major reason for the success in recent years. The program was dominant in the 1990s, however, finishing in the top 25 in each season, minus 1996.

Bowl games have been commonplace for Texas A&M as well. They’ve made it to 37 in school history while winning 17. The Aggies also have 18 conference championships and three claimed national titles.

Texas A&M has had 22 consensus All-Americans and other big names to roll through College Station have been Von Miller, Mike Evans, Luke Joeckel, Martellus and Michael Bennett, and Christine Michael. Sumlin keeps reeling in talent so expect the big names to keep coming.
