Not many schools can measure up to the type of success Florida State has had in recent years. The Seminoles have had two undefeated regular seasons under Jimbo Fisher and their most recent national title came in 2013.

While their 531 all-time wins might not seem like much, the Seminoles are one of the newest programs in the FBS. The Seminoles didn’t get things going until 1947and have eight total national titles since.

One of the most impressive feats of this historic program has to be its 35 consecutive bowl games, the longest active streak in college football. They’ve made five major bowl games in a row, including this year’s trip to the Orange Bowl.

Florida State ranks near the top of the all-time list in terms of bowl appearances with 44 and the Seminoles’ 26 wins are good for seventh in college football history. When the Seminoles make it to a bowl game, there’s a good chance they’ll be winning.

Along with its 43 consensus All-Americans in school history, current and former NFL and collegiate stars such as Lee Corso, Danny Kanell, Burt Reynolds, Deion Sanders, Anquan Boldin, Jameis Winston, Antonio Cromartie, Mack Brown, Derrick Brooks, Warrick Dunn, Devonta Freeman and numerous others have played for the Seminoles.

The Seminoles also have three Heisman Trophy winners in Winston, Charlie Ward and Chris Weinke, matching the in-state rival Gators.
