You would think that a power conference program like Baylor which has had so much success in recent years would be a little higher on the list, but the fact of the matter is the Bears have never won a national title. That alone is a big blow against their ranking and it’s hard to overlook the one outright conference title since 1980.

Still, Baylor is an attractive place for recruits given the recent years of success, outside of the Art Briles scandal, and the hiring of former Temple head coach Matt Rhule is expected to bring some major positives.

While the Bears have just nine conference titles in school history, two of them have come within the past four years and the program has made seven consecutive bowl games after attending zero from 1995-2009.

The Bears have also finished in the top 15 (AP Poll) in four of the past six seasons. The offense over the past seven, or so, years has propelled this team to national relevance and that’s where it has stayed.

This Nike Baylor t-shirt is a must-have for fans.

Robert Griffin III is the program’s only Heisman Trophy winner back in 2011, but Bryce Petty finished in the top 10 in voting in both 2013 and 2014.

Other notable players to come through the program are Thomas Everett, Mike Singletary and more recently, Andrew Billings, Matt Bryant, Corey Coleman, Terrance Williams and Kendall Wright.
