High Salary C

Myles Turner-Indiana Pacers (6,200): For the first time ever (at least that I can remember), Turner is the most expensive center on the board. That has more to do with the lack of elite options at the position than Turner’s play, but he has been putting up solid numbers lately. Turner has over 32 fantasy points in three straight games including his 22-7-0 game against Charlotte when he added four blocks for 40.4 fantasy points. He’s in a good matchup tonight against the Pelicans who have struggled defending opposing big men this season. They’ve allowed more fantasy points to opposing centers than any other team in the NBA in their last five games, so as long as Turner doesn’t get in foul trouble defending “The Brow” he should have a big game tonight. ∗∗∗

Pau Gasol-San Antonio Spurs (6,000): With LaMarcus Aldridge resting, Pau Gasol stepped up last night and went off against the Celtics for 17-13-6 and 47.6 fantasy points. As long as he doesn’t get “Popped” tonight in Phoenix, he should be a value play to take a look at again since he as at least 27 fantasy points in five of his last six games.

Tyson Chandler-Phoenix Suns (5,600): On the other side of that matchup, Alex Len’s injury should set up Tyson Chandler for another heavy workload tonight. He has over 20 rebounds in each of his last two games and has posted 37.2 fantasy points against the Pelicans and 42.6 fantasy points against the Knicks. Granted, those are two very easy matchup while the Spurs are statistically the second-worst matchup for fantasy centers. In spite of the tough matchup, Chandler should be ready to keep doing work on the glass in the desert tonight. ∗∗∗
