Scrambling for the end zone, Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff gets leveled by Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman and has to exit the game.

The Los Angeles Rams don’t have a clue what they are doing on offense. They are quickly becoming a running joke in the 2016 NFL season. Los Angeles was the first team to fire its head coach this season when they relieved Jeff Fisher from coaching duties on Monday afternoon.

Well, this doesn’t help quarterback Jared Goff’s development in the slightest. He’s a tough kid, taking a beating in three of the last four seasons between Cal and now the Rams.

Goff couldn’t get anything going on offense on Thursday Night Football against the Seattle Seahawks, so he tried to score himself. Then he ran into Seahawks outspoken cornerback Richard Sherman near the goal line. Ouch!

Because Goff turned himself into a runner, Sherman saw no problem with dropping the hammer on Goff near the goal line. Sherman’s hit was legal, but it did knock Goff’s head back a bit and he fumbled the ball out of bounds.

Goff would have to exit the game unwillingly to be evaluated in the NFL’s concussion protocol. Fate would have it that Goff’s big game would be called back on a hold.

The Rams offense continues to be the most listless offensive unit in the NFL. Backup Case Keenum would come in near the red zone and would be unable to get the Los Angeles offense into the end zone.

Los Angeles may be strong on defense and in the special teams, but it has been yeas since we’ve seen an offense this routinely inert. Goff needs help and that kid took beating on Thursday Night Football.
