High Salary C

DeMarcus Cousins-Sacramento Kings (11,000): Cousins got the night off on Wednesday in Houston, but he’s expected to be back and ready for a full workload tonight for the Kings as they roll into Memphis. Coach Dave Joerger will return to where he coached last year and look for a big game from Boogie to help his team pick up the road win. Cousins has been rolling with at least 55 fantasy points in four of his last five games and six of his last eight. He went off a monster 36-13-4 with three blocks for 63.6 fantasy points during that run, and he can totally carry your team when he’s on top of his game. Tonight, he’ll be in a tough matchup, though against the Grizzlies who allow the fewest fantasy points per game to opposing centers in the NBA. ∗∗

Marc Gasol-Memphis Grizzlies (8,800): On the other side of that game, Gasol will take on the Kings defense which hasn’t been nearly as effective as Memphis’s. Gasol has been rolling with over 35 fantasy points in seven games in a row and over 40 fantasy points in six in a row before he played limited minutes against the short-handed Cavs on Wednesday. He should be well-rested after taking Tuesday off himself, and he actually makes more sense on a points-per-dollar basis tonight than Boogie even though his ceiling isn’t quite as high.∗∗

Rudy Gobert-Utah Jazz (7,300): If you can’t get up to Gasol or Cousins, Gobert is a solid midrange option as he faces the Mavericks who are still without Dirk Nowitzki and Andrew Bogut. Gobert has at least 35 fantasy points in five straight with a double-double and multiple blocks in each contest. He only played 30 minutes on Wednesday but still managed 12-12-0 with three blocks for 35.4 fantasy points. Before that, he had rolled off three straight with over 40 fantasy points. The Mavericks are playing Salah Mejri and Dwight Powell up front so Gobert should be able to dominate down low again tonight in Salt Lake City.∗∗∗∗

DeAndre Jordan-Los Angeles Clippers (7,000): The Clippers are in Miami which means that Jordan will go head-to-head with Hassan Whiteside who ripped him for just catching a bunch of lobs this morning. Jordan is coming off his best game of December after posting 22-12-2 and three blocks for 47.4 fantasy points in Orlando on Wednesday. Jordan has over 28 fantasy points in 12 straight, so he’s low-risk to be a total dud tongiht especially against the Heat who have allowed the seventh-most fantasy points per game to opposing centers this season. ∗∗
