High Value PG

Elfrid Payton-Orlando Magic (5,700): Payton has an awesome matchup tonight against the Nets who have allowed more fantasy points to opposing PG than any other team in the NBA. Payton has been coming off the bench for Orlando which raises his risk factor but hasn’t limited his production. He had 9-3-9 on Wednesday agains the Clippers  for 31.1 fantasy points, but he had an even bigger game with 26-3-14 for 50.6 fantasy points against the Hawks on Tuesday. He has over 30 fantasy points in three of his last six games, and I think he’ll be able to get around that amount again tonight making him a solid option from under 6K in today’s FanDuel daily picks.

Reggie Jackson-Detroit Pistons (5,600): If Payton’s status as a non-starter makes you nervous, you can roll with RJax instead who is coming back and settling in as the Pistons starting PG after missing the first month and a half of the season. Jackson had his best fantasy game since returning on Wednesday with 28.4 fantasy points on 20-2-6 while playing a season-high 30 minutes. All signs are trending the right way for him as he heads to Washington to take on John Wall.

Sergio Rodriguez-Philadelphia 76ers (5,000): Rodriguez had 16-1-5 for 23.7 fantasy points against he Raptors on Wednesday after missing a game with illness. That performance gives him at least 22 fantasy points in seven of his last eight games since rejoining the starting lineup. Since Jerryd Bayless had wrist surgery and is done for the season, Rodriguez will get a chance to run the team for the foreseeable future making him a solid value play as long as his salary doesn’t rise too much more than this. Tonight, he’ll get the start against D’Angelo Russell and the Lakers.

Ramon Sessions-Charlotte Hornets (4,300): One intriguing flier to check on tonight is Ramon Sessions who is expected to start in place of Kemba Walker for the Hornets. Sessions hasn’t had over 20 fantasy points since November 19 and hasn’t reached 22 fantasy points in any game this season, so there is definitely risk in rolling with him. He should get his heaviest workload and have a chance to produce tonight, but it’s unsure how he’ll perform in his expanded role.

Matthew Dellavedova-Milwaukee Bucks (4,100): If you have to go under 5K at PG to make up for stocking up at other positions, one option to check out is Bucks’ PG Matthew Dellavedova who had 9-1-9 for 21.7 fantasy points against the Bulls last night and gets them again tonight in Chicago. Delly has at least 20 fantasy points in three of his last seven games and always gets the playing time to produce. He won’t go totally bust on you, but he doesn’t have a super-high ceiling either since it’s really Giannis Antetokounmpo that runs the show for Milwaukee’s offense.∗∗∗

Austin Rivers-Los Angeles Clippers (4,100): Rivers started for the Clippers on Wednesday in place of Luc Richard Mbah a Mouse and went off for 25-4-2  and a solid 33.8 fantasy points. Mbah a Moute’s injury isn’t expected to be serious, but if Rivers gets another start he’ll be a nice option against the Heat. Rivers has been playing well with double-digit scoring in five of his last seven and over 19 fantasy points in each of those five. If he gets another start (as expected) he has a higher ceiling than Delly, but he also does come with more risk especially if he ends up coming off the bench. With Mbah a Moute-∗∗ No Mbah a Moute-
