High Value SG

Evan Fournier-Orlando Magic (5,900): Orlando has dropped four of their last five games, but they’ve been scoring plenty of points with at least 108 points in three staright against the Nuggets, Hawks, and Clippers. Fournier has been a big part of their offensive success and has 24, 23, and 24 points for 39.8, 38, and 36.2 fantasy points in those three games. He hasn’t been playing huge minutes, but he has been very effective and should be able to continue his production tonight in a good matchup against the Nets who have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing SG this season. ∗∗∗∗

Rodney Hood-Utah Jazz (5,400): Hood returned again from a troublesome hamstring injury with 25 points in 31 minutes as the Jazz knocked off the Thunder on Wednesday. He didn’t have many non-scoring stats and only ended up with 26.7 fantasy points. However, he has been so reliable with at least 26 fantasy points in each of his last four games not cut short by injury. He and Wesley Matthews will be a fun matchup to watch in the late game, but I think Hood is still a great value option at this price since he’s playing such a big role in the Utah offense, and he’s a reliable option as long as his balky hammy holds up.∗∗∗

Eric Gordon-Houston Rockets (5,300): Gordon will face his former team tonight as the Rockets host the Pelicans for the first time this season. Even though he has bene coming off the bench, Gordon has been consistently productive with at least 21 fantasy points in ten straight games highlighted by five games over 27 fantasy points during that span. Gordon had 9-2-8 with two blocks against the Kings on Wednesday  for 27.4 fantasy points, and he should be ready to light up New Orleans tonight as he takes on Tyreke Evans and Jrue Holiday who he shared a backcourt with last season.

Nick Young-Los Aneles Lakers (4,000): If you’re diving deep into the SG pool tonight, check out Swaggy P who is back and playing full minutes for the Lakers at SG. He played 30 minutes on Wednesday against the Nets and had 21.8 fantasy points on 14-4-0 with a block and a steal. He has a ultra-high ceiling for an option this cheap, but he also comes with risk since the Lakers have to find Lou Williams minutes as well.

Buddy Hield-New Orleans Pelicans (3,800): Another cheap shooter who could get hot and fill up your fantasy points tonight is Buddy Hield of the Pelicans. The rookie had 21 points last night against Indiana and looked good on his way to 26.8 fantasy points. He has over 20 fantasy points in three of his last seven and has double-digit fantasy points in each of those contests. New Orleans is trying to see what they have in the rookie so he should keep getting chances to score and could fit right in if things get up-tempo and high-scoring. He’s a boom-or-bust flier play.
